When the chat room loads, a Java Certificate will appear. You must accept this applet to run the chat room. The applet comes from FINDbase LLC, (our sponsor), and no adware or spyware will be loaded on to your PC.
(tip: if you click “Always” on the acceptance window, it will not ask you again on future visits)

Block a User

Getting your password for the first time:
Logging in to the chat room for the first time:

• Click on the TD Member Access button, a menu will drop down.
• Go to Get Password - Put in your TrainDiscuss Member ID and click Submit
• Your password will be sent to the email address that is associated with the member registration on the TrainDiscuss forums.
  * This is not your TrainDiscuss forums password
• Once you have logged into the chat room, you can change your password

*Not a Member of TrainDiscuss? --> Go HERE and Register 
(*it will take longer to receive a Chattanooga Chat Room password)

Still having trouble getting your password with your TrainDiscuss User ID:

Recovering your password:
Lost or forgotten password:

• Click on the TD Member Access button, a menu will drop down.
• Go to Get Password - Put in your TrainDiscuss Member ID and click Submit
• Your password will be sent to the email address that is associated with the member registration on the TrainDiscuss forums.

Changing your Password:
Once you are logged in:

• Click on the User button, a drop down menu will appear.
• Scroll to and click Admin, a new window will appear.
• Type in your current password, and then new password (twice) and click Enter
• Your new password is updated and stored.

Logging in to your Chattanooga Account:
After receiving your password:

• Click on the TD Member Access button, a menu will drop down.
• Go to and click Login and a new window will appear
• Type in your TrainDiscuss user ID and your Chattanooga password
  and click Enter
• You should now have entered the " Choo Chat " room

Chatrooms:
Choo Chat & Off Track:

• By default, you will log in and be in Choo Chat.
• Why two chat rooms?
  - Perhaps the tone of a discussion is political, and you are interested
  in chatting about music, you have the option to click into the other
  room and chat about something 'different' there.  
  - There is no right or wrong topic for either room - however, as with
  all internet chat rooms, please use discretion.

Enter Off Track chat room:

• By default, you will log in and be in Choo Chat.
• Go to the Available Room panel
• Double Click "Off Track"
• You will move into the Off Track chat room

Change / Switch between rooms:

• Click the room name tab at the top of the chat room window

Leave a room:

• Right click on the room name tab (at the top of the chat room window)
• Left click on Leave Room
• You will only be logged out of the room of the tab you clicked

Change chat room background color:
      (also works for User List panel and Available Rooms panel)

• Right click inside the white area of the chat room (or User List/Available Rooms
• Menu option ' Set Background Color ' will appear - left click for options
• Select your color option
• Click the ' OK ' button

Change User Name colors:

• Single left click to highlight the user name (yours or another user)
• When the user name is highlighted right click on the name
• A menu will appear - left click on Set User Color
• A color choice menu will appear - choose your color
• Click OK - the user name (yours or any/all other members that you've chosen)
  will appear in the list and chat room with the color(s) you've set.

Privately Message another chatroom user:

• Double (left) click the user's name in the User List
• A new tab will appear
• That is your private (room) conversation with the other user

Block a user:

• Single left click to highlight the user name
• When the user name is highlighted right click on the name
• A menu will appear 
• Choose " Block " or " Block in all rooms"

Known Bugs (things not quite working yet):

• No font options yet
• No smilies
• When you type enough that it your words drop to a second line, the text sometimes is not visible on the second line at the bottom of the chat window.
  Just hit enter again to see your words.
